Houghton Offshore is a member of the Houghton Worldwide Group of Companies dedicated to the development, supply and maintenance of high quality specialty industrial fluids and lubricants to industry.

Houghton Offshore is committed to providing products and services which comply with all relevant health and safety, environmental and pollution prevention regulations.

Houghton Offshore strives for continuous improvements in standards, and will take a considered and proactive approach to reducing the environmental impact of its operations by:

•    Meeting and, where possible, exceeding all relevant environmental legislation
•    Complying with Corporate objectives on pollution prevention, health and safety initiatives and waste minimisation
•    Conservation of energy, water, raw materials and other natural resources
•    Using non-polluting technologies wherever feasible in designing long-life products, thereby reducing disposal problems and subsequent environmental impact
•    Reviewing the use of environmentally damaging substances and conduction research to identify viable alternatives
•    Managing sites to ensure proper material storage and handling and orderly appearance
•    Minimising raw material usage and reducing waste generated
•    Introducing an Environmental Purchasing Policy, ensuring that the Company develops partnerships with suppliers committed to similar objectives
•    Wherever practicable promoting the re-use and recycling of materials and packaging used in all operations
•    Providing all employees with the appropriate education, training and support to fulfil their responsibilities in accordance with the Company’s environmental policy
•    Regularly reviewing its Environmental Policy, objectives and targets for suitability and effectiveness
